The process of intaglio printing

The printing plate is prepared and hand cut or acid etched creating surfaces that hold or resist inks. The plate is hand inked in different ways with varying colours, so no two prints are the same, and individually hand printed. Thick, damp paper is rolled through the press against the plate, forcing the ink into the paper.
