Education

Heather studied Visual Communication at Bath Academy of Art , followed by a PGCE in Reading University. The next twenty years were filled with all kinds of teaching and children, and attending skill related evening classes in ceramics, silversmithing and lifedrawing.

In 2004 she completed an MA at Goldsmiths College in Contemporary Visual Cultures.

Since then she has taken courses in Woodcut Printmaking at Morley College, Japanese Printmaking at Central St Martins and Typography at the New North Press.

She networks with artist printmakers and local artists, constantly experimenting with techniques, tools and materials, learning all the time.

The Kent Guild of Printers has been a supportive organisation, a mine of technical information relating to vintage presses, equipment, inks and papers.
