Medway Open Studios 2025
The Hazelnut Printmakers will be showing their work at Medway Open Studios again this year. Come to The Hazelnut Press studio at 1 Ridley Road, in the heart of Rochester to see original hand-made prints by Ionut Bertea, Sharon Pallent,, Ana Maria Ghitescu and Heather Haythornthwaite. Karen Narborough will be showing hand-made soft furnishings and Sam Hall of Wordsmithery will be showing her drawings, paintings, mixed media, graphic novels and comics. Downstairs, Hazelnut Press regulars John Bosworth, Pat Lock, Paddy Tutt, Bebe Bertea and Liz Howe will be showing their work in the print-room studio amongst 19C printing presses and all sorts of printing equipment.
Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair
Heather will be showing at the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair Summer Edition this year from 27th June to 29th June at The Fireworks Factory. This is a large semi annual event where Heather is showing with other Artichoke Print Workshop artists. Tickets are available here.
Halpern Pop
Heather is showing at The Halpern Pop gallery behind Cafe Nucleus on Rochester High Street along with other Nucleus Arts Creative Associates Randa Saab, Jane Robb, Gillian Goldsmith and Nick Evans. It's a cracking little show and well worth going through the Cafe to see.

Tea towels for sale
We now have three tea towels for sale.

‘Ban the Mindreader’ celebrates the striking graffiti that remained in three places in the Medway towns for many years.

'Thomas Waghorn' celebrates the local hero who instigated the building of the Suez canal, and regularly sports a jaunty traffic cone and other accoutrements.

'Isaac Newells Old Boys' celebrates a teacher from Strood, who brought football to Argentina in 1869.
The price is £12 each, excluding postage charges.

Or email us with your name and delivery address. We’ll send you PayPal details, and post them to you. Please add £3.00 to your order for postage and PayPal fees.
